We had a powered site, check in was very easy, site was lovely, shower blocks were clean. The park is very close to the beach, considering the amount of families/children it was pretty quite.
We had to leave very early to catch the ferry and staff were very accomodating in leaving the site next to us empty to allow us to hook up the night before. This is the second time we have stayed here, very happy.
After a last minute cancellation from our original booking. We contacted Big 4 to see if they had any powered sites available. Thankfully they did. We stayed for 3 nights. Overall it was a great experience. The train noise wasn’t ideal and did interrupt our sleep. Overall a nice place to stay and close to the beach.
We spent 10 nights here whilst we explored the north coast of Tassie. Such a great central spot, close to Woolies and lots of shops. The park was just across the road from the beach which was beautiful and a nice beach to walk along each …
This Big4 is a good 1.
The railway is the only downfall, but the cabins were nice with good beds and room to move even though there were 4 of us.
I manager is a true sweet heart going above and beyond to be helpful, even came in on her day to help when there was a booking problem on our second stay. I can't give her enough love from us all.
Stayed at the Big4 Ulverstone for 4 nights in Nov 23. We had an excellent time. The park staff were simply outstanding - arranging lots of activities for the kids including a guest appearance by 'Bluey', ice cream trucks, loads of kids …
This was our third summer (2023/4) at Big4 Ulverstone and the first with Katrina at the helm. It was awesome. Not sure if it's a pro or con but we don't see Our kids unless they're hungry or tired (quite often both) as they're off with other kids doing things in the park or we head to the beach for some salt water in front of the Surf Club.
A lovely park. A little train noise was not too disturbing. The staff were wonderful. Stayed in our caravan, so no experience of their rooms. Location is great in an interesting town.
Our stay was to be a quick getaway, leaving our stresses behind. The ladies in the office were friendly and cheerful on arrival.
We were in our caravan and assigned a nice grassy site.
Unfortunately the first morning we were disturbed by a whipper snipper and a worker on a ride on mover. He was mowing on our assigned site up very close to our vehicle and then up very close our caravan. This was very noisy.
But worse than this was the fellow in the office didn't want to know about my complaint. No customer service, and no listening skills. I felt very unheard. And then he told me to leave if I didn't like it.
This happened on a Saturday morning.
We were very disappointed with the no caring response from the fellow in the office.
I don't recommend this park if you want a peaceful stay somewhere.
Very disappointing.
Such a shame as it is a beautiful Holiday Park.
